.DISCUSSION...
The forecast below is for the Trabuco Canyon area. Erratic, gusty
northeast winds continue overnight through Friday morning in the
mountains and coastal foothills. These winds will decrease fairly
quickly Friday morning, especially after about 0800 PST, calming
and turning northerly over the afternoon. Areas away from the
immediate coast will see very dry humidity continue, especially
over the slopes and ridges with humidity in the low teens most of
the day. Better recovery overnight Friday into Saturday, with
moderate recovery at lower elevations and canyon bottom and poor
to moderate, but better than tonight, recovery over the ridges.
Saturday will still be dry over the ridges, but with slightly
higher humidity at lower elevations. Offshore winds will start to
pick up Saturday afternoon, strengthening late in the evening.
This event will be less widespread and less strong than the last
couple days, but moderately strong winds are possible late
Saturday through Sunday in the mountains and coastal foothills.
