DISCUSSION FOR ORANGE ECC DISPATCH
310 AM PST TUE JAN 7 2025

SANTA ANA WINDS WILL DEVELOP THIS MORNING SPREAD INTO SAN DIEGO
COUNTY TONIGHT WITH WIDESPREAD VERY STRONG SANTA ANA WINDS FOR
TONIGHT AND WEDNESDAY WITH WINDS NOT AS STRONG FOR THURSDAY. THE
LOWEST HUMIDITY FOR INLAND AREAS IS EXPECTED ON WEDNESDAY AND
THURSDAY, FALLING TO 10 TO 15 PERCENT EACH DAY. THE COMBINATION OF
VERY STRONG WINDS, VERY DRY AIR, AND CRITICALLY DRY FUELS WILL
RESULT IN A PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS FIRE WEATHER SITUATION FOR
WEDNESDAY MORNING FOR THE MOUNTAINS AND VALLEYS IN SAN BERNARDINO
COUNTY AND FOR THE SANTA ANA MOUNTAINS AND INLAND ORANGE COUNTY. IT
WILL CONTINUE TO BE VERY DRY FOR INLAND AREAS ON FRIDAY, BUT WITH
WEAKER WINDS.
