.DISCUSSION...
Hot weather will continue inland through Wednesday, followed by a
slow cooling trend through next weekend. Minimum relative
humidity will be around 10 to 20 percent in the mountains and
deserts, with moderate to poor overnight recovery. Some mid-level
moisture and weak instability will generate mixing heights of 15
to 17 kft in the mountains for an increased risk of plume-
dominated fires, as well as a 10 to 20% chance of showers and
thunderstorms over the central and southern San Diego County
mountains and adjacent desert slopes as well as the Santa Rosa
Mountains this afternoon. Dry weather is forecast for the remainder
of the week.
