Weather hazards expected... Limited lightning risk. Elevated excessive rainfall risk Elevated Fog risk. DISCUSSION... A band of heavy rain and thunderstorms is ongoing across northeast Oklahoma, northwest Arkansas, and southeast Kansas. Through the monring, this band may increase in coverage and shift into the extreme sotheast corner of Kansas and extreme southwest corner of Missouri, bringing the potential for heavy rain and isolated instances of flooding. The highest chance for excessive rain is within McDonald, Cherokee, and Newton Counties. A Flood Watch is in effect through 1 PM this afternoon across the far southwest corner of Missouri and southeast corner of Kansas. Tonight, cooler temperatures and calm winds may result in patchy fog, especially in the low-lying areas of the eastern Ozarks. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.
