Heat Advisory is in effect for the entire area through 8pm. Afternoon heat index values of 100 to 105 degrees. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are ongoing along and east of Highway 63. As these gain strength through the afternoon, any storm will be capable of producing wind gusts up to 60 mph, along with lightning and brief heavy downpours. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.
