.DISCUSSION...

Some lingering fog and low clouds are currently out over and/or
around the Bennett Springs State Park area this morning. Based on
satellite imagery, these look to hold on for at least another hour
or so. This will result in a bit cooler temperatures and higher
humidity than what is depicted in the forecast grid below.

After the fog burns off, temperatures are expected to climb to the
lower 60s with humidity staying above 50-55% and calm winds out of
the east-northeast. Otherwise, due to the low clouds, an
inversion (mixing height) will only be 2 kft max, and may even
struggle to reach 1.5 kft as the area of interest lies on the east
side of a N-S oriented valley. A lower sun angle will warm the
area later in the day, leaving little time for the inversion to
rise. This will likely keep any smoke confined in the low-levels
due to poor ventilation.
