.SHORT TERM /THROUGH WEDNESDAY/...
Issued at 227 PM CDT Tue Aug 5 2025

Mid-level high pressure continues to build over the desert
southwest for the week. This means our weather through the short
term period will be rather calm with little to no precipitation
chances. Skies are mostly sunny across the area and temperatures
are currently in the upper 80s to lower 90s. Winds will remain
variable through the next couple of days as well. Lows will be
in the upper 60s to lower 70s tonight and tomorrow night. There
may be patchy fog that forms once again over in the eastern
Ozarks overnight tonight. Drive with caution Wednesday morning
if fog does develop. Expect Wednesday to be warmer with highs
in the mid to upper 80s and lower 90s.

.LONG TERM /WEDNESDAY NIGHT THROUGH TUESDAY/...
Issued at 227 PM CDT Tue Aug 5 2025

High pressure continues to push in, and the tighter pressure
gradient causes winds to start picking up by mid-week. The
stronger southerly surface flow will advect in warmer air very
efficiently, and highs will continue to climb up into the
mid-90s Thursday and Friday. Mid- to late-week, some may see
Heat Index values reach or exceed 100 degrees.

By Saturday, low pressure begins to approach out of the Plains,
which will bring a bit of relief for the start of next week. By
Sunday, long- range models have this low joining forces with a
Canadian low to its north to swing a cold front through the
area, cooling temperatures down to normal and perhaps bringing
some chances for thunderstorms early next week.

.AVIATION /00Z TAFS THROUGH 00Z THURSDAY/...
Issued at 558 PM CDT Tue Aug 5 2025

VFR conditions will prevail through the entire TAF period.
Southeasterly surface winds around 5 kts will persist through
tonight before becoming south-southwesterly after 12Z and
increasing up to 10 kts.
