Mount Rainier Recreational Forecast

.SYNOPSIS...Light rain and high elevation snow will persist today
as a cold front slowly moves onshore Wednesday night across Mount
Rainier National Park. Showers will persist into Thursday with
lowering snow levels and a chance for isolated thunderstorms in
the afternoon. Additional systems will move through Friday and
through the weekend which may bring more significant rainfall and
heavy high-elevation snow.

.WEDNESDAY...Showers likely in the morning, then showers in the
late morning and early afternoon. A chance of showers late in the
afternoon. Snow may be heavy at times late in the morning. Snow
accumulation near Paradise of 3 to 7 inches. Snow level near
4000 feet.
.WEDNESDAY NIGHT...Cloudy with a chance of showers in the
evening, then showers after midnight. Snow accumulation near
Paradise of 3 to 5 inches. Snow level near 4000 feet decreasing
to 3000 feet after midnight.
.THURSDAY...Snow showers in the morning, then snow showers and a
slight chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. Snow may be
heavy at times in the afternoon. Snow accumulation near Paradise
of 2 to 7 inches. Snow level near 1500 feet.
.THURSDAY NIGHT...Snow showers in the evening, then snow showers
likely after midnight. Light snow accumulations.
.FRIDAY...Snow likely in the morning, then rain and snow in the
afternoon. Moderate snow accumulations. Snow level near 2000 feet
in the afternoon.
