...SLIGHTLY ABOVE AVG TEMPS FOR HIGH ELEVATIONS NEXT COUPLE DAYS
SEVERAL DEGREES ABOVE AVG SECOND HALF OF THE WEEK...
...FEW SHOWERS POSSIBLE MAINLY ACROSS PORTIONS OF NE CA/NRN NV THIS
AFTERNOON/EVENING...

.METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS (SUN AM - SAT AM)...

A shortwave moving across the northern Rockies into northern NV is
providing some cloud cover and weak radar echoes over far northern
NV this morning, likely with no precip reaching the ground. Another
shortwave now near the coast of NW CA is expected to push east
across northern CA/NV through Mon morning. Expect a few showers to
be possible mainly across portions of NE CA into far northern NV
this afternoon through mainly the evening hours. High pressure
aloft is forecast to move eastward through the rest of the week,
with generally dry conditions expected across the region, although
some guidance indicates sufficient moisture/instability for a few
showers in the higher terrain of the Sierra Tue afternoon. High-
elevation temperatures are expected to be slightly above normal for
the next couple days and increase to several degrees above normal
for the second half of the week.
