...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM EST THURSDAY...

* WHAT...West winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 45 mph expected.

* WHERE...Portions of northeast Kentucky, southeast Ohio, southwest
  Virginia, and central, northeast, northern, southeast, southern,
  and western West Virginia.

* WHEN...Until 7 AM EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
  limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The strongest winds will occur as an arctic
  front passes quickly across the area during the overnight hours.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

* WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 13 below expected.

* WHERE...Northwest Pocahontas and Southeast Randolph Counties.

* WHEN...From 7 AM Thursday to 7 AM EST Friday.

* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills as low as 13 below zero could
  result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken. Wind chill
  values can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure. Very cold
  temperatures can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.
