...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON EDT TODAY...

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall
  continues.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast Ohio, including the following
  counties, Gallia, Jackson and Lawrence.

* WHEN...Until noon EDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Low-water
  crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1232 AM EDT, Department of highways continues to report
    several roads flooded across the warned area. While small
    stream and creek flooding is diminishing, flooding will
    continue along bigger creeks and rivers across the area, as
    runoff makes its way to the larger waterways.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Ashland, Ironton, Coal Grove, Oak Hill, Lake Vesuvius,
    Gallia, South Point, Russell, Vernon, Waterloo, Aid, Crown
    City, Athalia, Hanging Rock, Pedro, Scottown, Gage and
    Centerpoint.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Report flooding to the National Weather Service by calling toll
free, 800 401 9535, when you can do so safely.
