...SUMMARY...

A weather system and strong jet stream have impacted the area for
the past two days. While western mountains received accumulating
snow most locations remained dry and windy. Very strong wind
occurred in the Absaroka Mountains and Cody Foothills on Monday and
those strong winds shifted southeast through central Wyoming on
Tuesday as a cold front pushed south. Strong wind just above the
surface was able to make it`s way down to the surface Tuesday
morning through Tuesday afternoon, resulting in wind gusts of 50-65
mph for a large area in central Wyoming. The strongest wind was
experienced in Casper. Not included in this list is strong wind
gusts around 50 mph in the Jackson Valley due to a snow squall
Tuesday morning.
