.DISCUSSION...
High pressure continues to build today, with warmer temperatures
in the 50s. Winds will be light through the day, with light
upslope/upvalley winds under 5mph into the afternoon. Winds will
turn more from the southwest during the afternoon, but remain
light. Mixing heights above 8000 feet will bring good smoke
dispersal during the afternoon. Skies will be mostly clear most of
the day, but some towering cumulus could build during the late
afternoon, bringing a brief chance for a light shower. Any
accumulation would be minimal.
Saturday will be nearly clear and warmer, with highs in the 60s. A
more dominant southwest wind will develop during the afternoon,
with a few gusts around 15 mph. No precipitation is expected on
Saturday.
