today. Chances for showers and thunderstorms will increase in the
afternoon lingering into the early morning hours on Thursday.
Coverage will be more widespread today with most seeing a 20-50%
chance for a shower or thunderstorm. Even with an influx of moisture
starting to funnel across the region, the main concerns today will
be gusty outflow winds. Strong outflow winds of 40 to 50 mph
will be likely across the area during the afternoon and evening as
convection develops. Moisture increases furthermore Thursday with
another round of widespread showers and thunderstorms expected.
Chances for wetting rains will increase as well with much of the
dispatch area seeing a 20 to 40% chance.
