This will provide chances for showers and thunderstorms this afternoon across the eastern district. These storms will mainly be wet storms with a 30-35% chance of wetting rains. Expect an active thunderstorm pattern to continue into early next week. $$ ECC012-251130- Tahoe Basin, Sierra Foothills and El Dorado NF- Discussion for Camino 429 AM PDT Sun Aug 24 2025 Monsoon moisture will continue to filter into E.Calfornia today into early next week. This will provide chances for showers and thunderstorms this afternoon mainly for the Tahoe Basin with chances increasing along the upper western foothills. These storms will mainly be wet with a 30-50% chance of wetting rains. Expect an active thunderstorm pattern to continue across the eastern Sierra into early next week. $$ ECC016-017-251130- Sierra Front in Alpine county- Inyo NF, Mono County and Owens Valley- Discussion for SF and Inyo 429 AM PDT Sun Aug 24 2025 A monsoon moisture push will produce widespread coverage of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and evening. These storms will be fast moving storms but will contain copious moisture with them resulting in a risk of heavy rain, small hail, flash flooding potential in burn scar areas, and gusty outflow winds. An active thunderstorm pattern continues into early next week $$
