.DISCUSSION...
Afternoon and evening thunderstorms may produce strong outflows
and abundant lightning along the eastern Sierra, northeast CA,
and western NV. A trough moving into the area on Thursday will
increase southwest winds across western NV, leading to a brief period
of elevated to locally critical fire weather conditions during the
afternoon. Isolated thunderstorms persist for Thursday afternoon,
mainly for northeast CA and northern Washoe County. Otherwise, dry
conditions with breezy winds each afternoon prevail this week.
