The National Weather Service in Reno has issued a

* Dust Advisory for...
  Central Washoe County in western Nevada...
  Northwestern Pershing County in west central Nevada...

* Until 715 PM PDT.

* At 507 PM PDT, a wall of blowing dust coming off the Smoke Creek
  and Black Rock Desert playa areas is tracking northward at around
  30 mph.

  HAZARD...Less than one mile visibility with strong wind gusts in
           excess of 45 mph.

  SOURCE...Doppler radar and AlertWest Cameras.

  IMPACT...Sudden reductions to visibility due to blowing dust.

Locations impacted include...
Gerlach, Gerlach-Empire, Empire Airport, and Black Rock City.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Blowing dust can be hazardous. Delay or reroute travel. Remain aware
of the weather.
