...INCREASED FIRE DANGER FOR WESTERN PORTIONS OF CENTRAL NORTH
CAROLINA FROM SATURDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH EARLY SATURDAY EVENING...

The combination of anomalously warm temperatures, low relative
humidity between 25 and 35 percent, dry fuels, and south or
southwesterly gusts of 15-25 mph will result in an increased fire
danger risk over the western Piedmont, western Sandhills, and
portions of the northeastern Piedmont on Saturday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

The North Carolina Forest Service has issued a statewide ban on
all open burning until further notice, and all burning permits
have been cancelled. Residents with questions can contact their
NC Forest Service county ranger or their county fire marshal`s
office.
