...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN WAYNE...NORTHERN
SAMPSON...EASTERN HARNETT...NORTHEASTERN CUMBERLAND AND SOUTHERN
JOHNSTON COUNTIES THROUGH 115 AM EDT...

At 1210 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a large, strong
thunderstorm covering the area between Dunn, Lillington, and Four
Oaks, moving southeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Fayetteville, Smithfield, Lillington, Dunn, Angier, Benson, Godwin,
Erwin, Eastover, and Coats.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Strong
winds may occur ahead of any rain or lightning. Do not wait for the
sound of thunder before taking cover.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead
to localized flooding. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is
occurring with this storm.
