...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in North
Carolina...

  Neuse River Near Goldsboro affecting Wayne County.

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in North
Carolina...

  Neuse River At Smithfield affecting Johnston County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL LATE THURSDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Neuse River near Goldsboro.

* WHEN...Until late Thursday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Minor flooding begins. Water overflows the
  banks at the Arrington Bridge Rd and upstream of the US-117
  bridge.  Ferry Bridge Rd begins to flood.
  At 20.0 feet, Moderate flooding begins. Arrington Bridge Road and
  access roads around Seymour Johnson Air Force Base flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:15 AM EDT Tuesday the stage was 18.9 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 10:15 AM EDT Tuesday was 18.9 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 18.9
    feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late
    tomorrow evening.
  - Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    20.1 feet on 11/19/2018.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Neuse River at Smithfield.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 15.0 feet, Minor flooding begins. Flooding begins
  along the Neuse Riverwalk. Water nears the base of the holding
  tank at the water treatment plant.
  At 18.0 feet, Moderate flooding begins. The Smithfield town park
  and the Neuse Riverwalk at the US70 bridge are flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:15 AM EDT Tuesday the stage was 15.5 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 10:15 AM EDT Tuesday was 15.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to 16.4 feet
    Saturday evening. Additional rises are possible thereafter.
  - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    15.0 feet on 10/13/2018.
