...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 AM EDT THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...A portion of central North Carolina, including the
  following counties, Alamance, Anson, Chatham, Davidson, Durham,
  Forsyth, Granville, Guilford, Hoke, Lee, Montgomery, Moore,
  Orange, Person, Randolph, Richmond, Scotland, Stanly, Vance and
  Warren.

* WHEN...Until 2 AM EDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
  Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks,
  streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations, especially
  those that saw flooding on Sunday and Monday from the remnants of
  Chantal. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood
  with more heavy rain.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Slow moving thunderstorms capable of producing torrential
    rainfall over already saturated soils may result in flooding
    this afternoon and evening.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
to take action should flooding develop.
