...FLOOD WATCH WILL EXPIRE AT 6 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

The Flash Flood Watch will expire for a portion of central North
Carolina, including the following areas, Alamance, Anson, Chatham,
Cumberland, Davidson, Durham, Edgecombe, Forsyth, Franklin,
Granville, Guilford, Halifax, Harnett, Hoke, Johnston, Lee,
Montgomery, Moore, Nash, Orange, Person, Randolph, Richmond,
Sampson, Scotland, Stanly, Vance, Wake, Warren, Wayne and Wilson.

The flash flooding threat has ended. Therefore, the Flash Flood
Watch will expire at 6 PM EDT this evening. However, there is still
ongoing areal and river flooding. Some area creeks and streams may
also still be elevated. Please heed any remaining road closures and
monitor your weather radio for ongoing river and areal flood
warnings.
