Synopsis for the E Pacific within 250 nm of Central America,
Colombia, and within 750 nm of Ecuador
754 AM PDT Sun Apr 6 2025

.SYNOPSIS...Fresh to strong NE to E winds across the Gulf of
Papagayo region will diminish this afternoon through early Tue
as high pressure weakens across the western Caribbean. Fresh to
strong winds will then return to the Papagayo region Tue night as
high pressure behind a Gulf of America cold front builds N of
the area. Large NW swell will impact the outer waters of
Guatemala late Mon through Wed as a Tehuantepec gale event
develops. Elsewhere, mixed SW and NW swell will maintain moderate
seas between Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands into next week,
with new SW swell reaching the Galapagos Islands by the middle of
the week. Otherwise, gentle to locally moderate winds are
expected across the remainder of the waters into next week, along
with slight to moderate seas.
