Synopsis for the E Pacific within 250 nm of Mexico
149 PM PDT Thu Oct 9 2025

.SYNOPSIS...Tropical Storm Priscilla is near 24.4N 114.9W at
2 PM PDT, and is moving north-northwest at 7 kt. Maximum
sustained winds are 40 kt with gusts to 50 kt, and the minimum
central pressure is 996 mb. Priscilla will move to 25.2N 115.1W
Fri morning, weaken to a remnant low near 26.2N 115.2W Fri
afternoon. The remnant low of Priscilla will move off Punta
Eugenia near 26.9N 115.0W Sat morning, then continue to the
northeast to 27.5N 114.8W Sat afternoon, before dissipating by
Sun morning. Farther south, newly named Tropical Storm Raymond
is off the coast of Guerrero near 16.5N 101.7W at 2 PM PDT, and
is moving west-northwest at 13 kt. Maximum sustained winds are
40 kt with gusts to 50 kt, and the minimum central pressure is
1002 mb. Raymond will move to 17.3N 103.5W Fri morning, 18.9N
106.2W Fri afternoon, then south of Los Cabos near 20.6N 108.7W
Sat morning. Raymond will weaken to a tropical depression near
22.5N 110.2W Sat afternoon, then continue into Baja California
Sur near 24.8N 111.0W Sun morning. Raymond will become a remnant
low and move into the southern Gulf of California to 26.8N
111.0W Sun afternoon, before dissipating Mon afternoon onshore
over Sonora. Elsewhere, strong gap winds will pulse across the
Gulf of Tehuantepec Fri night through Sat night.
