Individual waves may be more than twice the significant wave height. PMZ001-062030- Synopsis for the E Pacific within 250 nm of Mexico 124 AM PDT Sun Oct 6 2024 .SYNOPSIS...A ridge will remain in control of the weather pattern across the offshore waters of Baja California producing pulsing moderate to fresh NW winds and slight to moderate seas into early week. Looking ahead, disorganized showers and thunderstorms located off the coast of southwestern Mexico are associated with a broad area of low pressure. Gradual development of this system is possible, and a tropical depression could form during the early or middle portion of the week while the system moves slowly west-northwestward, roughly parallel to the coast of southwestern Mexico. Regardless of development, this system could bring areas of heavy rain to portions of southwestern Mexico during the next few days. This system has a low change of tropical cyclone development through 48 hours, and a medium chance through 7 days.
