An intense arctic front will continue to push west and move over
the remainder of the lower elevations of the Raton Mesa region by
late afternoon or early evening. Temperatures will drop 20 or
more degrees after the front goes by.

At 3 pm this afternoon, the temperature in Colorado City was
around 30 degrees, while just down the road in Walsenburg it was
in the mid 50s.
