This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Sub-freezing temperatures will set in across the area tonight, with
overnight lows in the teens over the plains and near zero over the
higher terrain. Late tonight into early Thursday morning, a new
incoming system will bring snow to the higher terrain and the Palmer
Divide.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

Snow will be possible on Thursday, especially over the
Ramparts and Palmer Divide areas, as well as across the southern
Sangre de Cristo mountains and Raton Mesa. Light new snow
accumulations are anticipated with this, with the highest
amounts of around 2 to 3 inches of new snow expected for the
Palmer Divide and Raton Mesa. There could be blowing snow with
temporary whiteout and snow squall conditions across portions of
the Palmer Divide for several hours during the morning hours
beginning around 4 to 6 AM.

Snow will begin over the central mountains on Saturday during the
day, and then spread southeastward through the evening, with snow
becoming more likely along the I-25 Corridor going into Sunday
morning. There could be some lingering snow, especially over
portions of the higher terrain, going into the early hours on
Monday. Highest snowfall amounts look to be over the southeastern
mountains.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Weather spotters will not be needed today or tonight.
