Precipitation amounts are expected to remain light. A stronger storm system looks to impact the region Monday and Tuesday, with breezy winds and warm temperatures bringing the potential for critical fire weather conditions to San Luis Valley and southeast Plains Monday afternoon. Snow looks to spread into the mountains Monday night with rain and snow spreading east across the high mountain valleys through the eastern mountains and plains on Tuesday. Accumulating snow and strong winds could produce high impacts, especially across the Pikes Peak/Palmer Divide region and the Raton Mesa and southern I-25 Corridor on Tuesday. The strength and track of this system is still uncertain, so details concerning snowfall totals and the most impactful weather are still being honed down.
