This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Damaging west winds are likely from this morning into the afternoon
over the southern I-25 corridor in Huerfano and Las Animas Counties,
where gusts over 60 mph are likely.

Critical fire weather conditions are expected this afternoon along
the southern I-25 corridor, where west winds gusting 40 to 60 mph
and relative humidity below 15 percent will combine to create high
fire danger.

Occasional snow showers are expected over the central mountains late
this afternoon and overnight, with accumulations of 1 to 3 inch
possible, mainly north of Cottonwood Pass.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

Cooler weather with periodic light snow across the central
mountains can be expected for Saturday and Sunday. Most
accumulations will remain under an inch or two, however the
central mountains could see localized accumulations of 2 to 6
inches across the higher areas, mainly north of Cottonwood Pass.

Another round of snow will push into the mountains on Monday, and
spread across the southeast plains Monday Night and Tuesday.
Accumulations will remain light but could affect travel across the
high country. Another round of snow will spread across southern CO
Tuesday night and Wednesday which could be a little heavier,
especially across the Continental Divide.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Weather conditions that meet reporting criteria for spotters will
be possible over portions of the region.
