This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Dangerously cold wind chills continue through today, with even
colder conditions arriving tonight. Cold Weather Advisories for wind
chills of -20 are in place for tonight over our mountain valleys,
eastern Fremont, El Paso, Pueblo, Crowley, and Kiowa counties.
Please prepare ahead of time and use extreme caution if you must
be outside tonight, and remember to bring pets indoors! A
secondary push of Arctic air will also usher in chances for light
snowfall across the area, beginning this afternoon over the
Continental Divide, and pushing into the Palmer Divide later this
evening. Though snowfall totals will be light (generally less than
2 inches) travel impacts from blowing snow and degraded
visibilities will be possible tonight, especially over area
mountain passes.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

Light snow will continue across the southeast mountains and plains
on Monday bringing additional accumulations of an inch or two
across southern portions of the southeast plains and the southeast
mountains south of highway 50. Bitter cold wind chills will
continue on Monday with readings staying below zero across the
plains and in the negative teens and 20s across the mountains.
Extremely dangerous wind chills will be possible Tuesday night
with readings as cold as 50 below zero across the mountains, and
as cold as 30 to 35 below zero across the southeast plains and
mountain valleys respectively. Wind chills this cold could cause
frostbite in as little as 15 minutes or less.

Temperatures will rebound for Tuesday, but another cold night can
be expected Tuesday night for the mountain valleys where readings
will drop to between 5 below and 15 below zero wind wind chills as
cold as 24 below zero.

Below normal temperatures will continue through the end of the
work week with another chance of snow possible next weekend.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Weather conditions that meet reporting criteria for spotters will
be likely over portions of the region.
