.DISCUSSION...
An active monsoon pattern will continue through Saturday with
moisture continuing to rotate around a large upper high pressure
system in place across the Southern High Plains through the
Southern Rockies and into the Desert Southwest. This will keep
chances of showers and thunderstorms in place each day into the
upcoming holiday weekend. Locally heavy rainfall and the potential
for flash flooding will be the primary concern across the area.
Temperatures will remain at or slightly below seasonal normals
into the weekend. A drying trend will be in the offing into early
next week.
