.DISCUSSION...Upper level ridging across the Four Corners region
will continue to build north and west into the Great Basin and
Intermountain West through the weekend, keeping weak west to
northwest flow aloft in place across the region. Ample moisture
rotating around the upper high will keep daily chances of showers
and thundestorms in place across the burn site. With the moisture
in place and generally weak flow aloft, locally heavy rainfall can
be expected with storms across the region through the weekend.
Showers and storms to develop through the late morning and could
linger through the late evening and possibly into the overnight
hours. With the weak flow aloft, winds across the burn site will
be mainly terrain driven, with gusty and erratic winds expected
with any storm.
