.DISCUSSION...

Lodgepole Flats RAWS is seeing light drainage winds out of the
north early this morning, with a temperature of 32F and overnight
humidity recoveries around 70%. Similar conditions are being
observed at the Leadville ASOS. Winds will be generally
northwesterly today at ridgetop level, with gusts to 30 mph
possible. Drainage winds with a more northerly component are
likely through the valley, especially closer to sunset. Light snow
will remain possible early this morning, though accumulations will
be minimal. Smoke dispersions will be fair to good thanks to
surface heating and winds, but definitely mind the lower mixing
heights today. Smoke dispersions will be degraded further up the
slope, due to an inversion aloft. If you have any questions,
