.Discussion...
After today, and increasingly active pattern is forecast to develop
across the district. Isolated thunderstorms will be possible this
afternoon across the higher terrain with lightning and gusty outflow
winds the main concerns. Increasing coverage in thunderstorm
activity is forecast on Friday with activity spreading into the
Pikes Peak Region, and into the Plains. Temperatures will remain
hot with 90s across the Plains and low humidity values the 15-20
percent range. Moisture will continue to increase for the weekend
into next week, with daily rounds of showers and thunderstorms with
wetting rains across much of the area. Temperatures will also cool
into next week with highs in the 70s and 80s.
Smoke dispersions will begin poor this morning across the district,
and become very good across the lower elevations, and excellent
across the higher elevations. A return to poor dispersions are
forecast tonight.
