Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
412 AM MDT Thu Sep 19 2024

.Discussion...

Dry weather will continue across southern Colorado before a
weather system spreads a chance for thunderstorms into southern
portions of the district on Friday, and a good chance for showers,
thunderstorms and high mountain snows across the region Saturday
and Sunday. The highest precipitation amounts are likely across northern
and eastern portions of the district with the potential for an inch
or more of liquid across portions of the Pikes Peak region Saturday
through Sunday. Some spotty critical fire weather conditions could
occur across El Paso county on Friday before the cold front moves in.

Cool conditions with showers at times will continue into early
next week before dry and warmer weather returns for the middle of
next week.

Afternoon dispersions will become good to very good across the
district today, and very good to excellent on Friday as winds
increase ahead of the next storm system.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
