.Discussion...
Dry and mild temperatures will continue through Saturday. Humidity
values will remain low, but winds stay relatively light which should
reduce critical fire weather potential. A quick moving storm system
will pass to the south Saturday night and Sunday bringing some scattered
light showers to the southern mountains and plains south of highway 50.
This system will be a warm one with some light rain possible across the
plains. A stronger storm system will be possible Monday through Tuesday
which could bring more widespread rain and snow to southern Colorado.
Details on the storm track are still highly uncertain and forecasts will
be prone to change. But it appears a wetter and windier period will be
possible early next week. Yet another storm system will be possible late
week.
Light winds will keep dispersions poor to fair at best across the
mountains today and Saturday with fair to good across the southeast
plains.
