.Discussion...
Hot temperatures and mostly dry conditions are forecast across the
district this week. Temperatures will generally range from the
upper 80s across the San Luis Valley, to lower 100s on the Plains,
with some relief by next weekend. Low chances for thunderstorms
across the higher terrain beginning Wednesday through Friday, with
showers and thunderstorms spreading eastward across the Plains for
the weekend. Spotty, elevated fire weather conditions will be
possible across the higher terrain and San Luis Valley today and
tomorrow. Humidity values will fall below 15 percent, but winds
look to remain under 25 mph.
Poor smoke dispersions are forecast for this morning, with excellent
dispersions this afternoon across the district. Dispersions will
fall back to poor overnight.
