848 FNUS55 KPUB 191024 FWFPUB Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado National Weather Service Pueblo Co 324 AM MST Sun Jan 19 2025 .Discussion... Critical fire weather conditions are not expected through the next 7 days. Our temperatures and wind chills recover slightly better today than yesterday for most areas, but we remain in dangerously cold conditions throughout the short term forecast for many zones. A secondary push of Arctic Air arrives this evening, spreading snow chances back across the plains through tonight and into tomorrow morning, along with even colder temperatures and wind chills. Snowfall tonight and tomorrow looks to be minimal, and snow will have very little liquid water content to work with. We clear out behind this second push of cold air, leading to the most brutal temperatures of the forecast period late Monday into Tuesday. Our entire forecast area is under and Extreme Cold Watch for this time period. Please use extreme caution if you must be outside! Temperatures begin to recover slowly from Tuesday afternoon onwards. Smoke dispersion will vary considerably over the district during the next couple of days. Please see the zone forecast below for specific smoke dispersion forecasts. --- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds --- COZ220-192315- Upper Arkansas River Valley Including Lake County and Chaffee County- 324 AM MST Sun Jan 19 2025 .TODAY...
