...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM MDT THIS MORNING THROUGH THIS
EVENING...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Colorado, including the
  following areas, Eastern San Juan Mountains Above 10000 Feet and
  Upper Rio Grande Valley/Eastern San Juan Mountains Below 10000
  Feet.

* WHEN...From 6 AM MDT this morning through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more
  heavy rain.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Showers and thunderstorms are expected to continue over the
    Watch area today and into this evening. Some storms may be
    strong to severe. Areas that see direct impacts from
    thunderstorms could see 1-2 inches of additional rainfall
    today, on top of already saturated soils and full waterways,
    which will lead to continued flooding concerns.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued. Those living in areas prone
to flooding should be prepared to take action should additional
flood impacts develop.
