.DISCUSSION...
Locally critical fire weather conditions, with the strong
northerly wind gusts and RH values around 15%, will continue for
another hour or two, until 1800-1900 MST, before winds weaken and
RHs rise below and above critical levels, respectively. While the
persistent gustiness of the day should wane, elevated northerly
breezes, with occasional gusts up to 20-30 mph, will still be
possible through much of tonight. The gradient northerly winds do
not fully relax until around sunrise Friday. Northerly winds
Friday will be much lighter, but still with some afternoon gusts
into the middle teens. Similar winds can be expected Saturday,
maintaining a northerly/downriver component. The environment will
remain dry Friday and Saturday, with afternoon minimum RH values
down as low as 10-15%. The overnight recoveries the next couple
nights will be modest at 30-40%. Expect seasonally cool
temperatures.
