Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southwest and South-Central
Arizona and Southeast California
National Weather Service Phoenix AZ
304 AM MST Wed Jul 17 2024

.DISCUSSION...
Afternoon thunderstorm activity will continue to be common
across the higher terrain areas of eastern AZ through the end of
the week. The main hazards with the thunderstorm activity will
continue to be strong and erratic winds along with localized,
brief heavy downpours. Aside from the thunderstorm winds,
afternoon and early evening upslope gusts of 20-25 mph will be
common. MinRHs will continue to range between 15-25% with fair to
good overnight recoveries in the 30-60% range.

...Thunderstorms imply gusty winds...
