* Cold water, sneaker waves and rip currents can all pose a
daily threat to life for visitors on the Oregon and Washington
coast. This is true for everyone visiting the beach, not just
those venturing into or near the water. The forecast wave heights
presented here are considered experimental. When headed to the
beach, always remain vigilant and keep an eye on the waves and
currents.

* A sneaker wave is a wave running up on shore significantly
further than any other recent wave, such that it is a surprise
to the casual observer. Rip currents are powerful, narrow channels
of fast-moving water in the surf zone, flowing outward from shore.

* This product is issued once per day after 6 am, with no
updates.
