The National Weather Service in Portland has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Coastal waters from Cape Falcon to Cape Foulweather OR out 10 nm...

* Until 1145 PM PST.

* At 1110 PM PST, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing
  waterspouts was located near Lincoln City, moving east at 25 knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  Lincoln Beach, Gleneden Beach, Cascade Head, and Lincoln City.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily
overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor
immediately.
