In both cases, the chances are higher farther up the valley and lower toward Hood River proper. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... To prevent water pipes from freezing; wrap or drain or allow them to drip slowly. Take steps now to protect tender outdoor plants from the cold. Consider temporarily moving outdoor potted plants indoors if they are sensitive to cold temperatures. Consider temporarily covering sensitive plants with a lightweight cotton fabric (i.e., bedsheets, thin blankets), as this will help retain heat and provide frost protection for your plants. && $$ ORZ104-115>118-WAZ204-151215- /O.NEW.KPQR.FR.Y.0013.251015T0800Z-251015T1600Z/ North Oregon Coast Range Lowlands-East Central Willamette Valley- Benton County Lowlands-Linn County Lowlands-Lane County Lowlands- Cowlitz County Lowlands- Including the cities of Wilsonville, Springfield, Brownsville, Philomath, Knappa, Necanicum, Junction City, Glenwood, Woodland, Monroe, Corvallis, Eugene, Silverton, Grand Ronde Indian Reservation, Woodburn, Vernonia, Salem, Albany, Cottage Grove, Harrisburg, Lebanon, Kalama, Molalla, Stayton, Kelso, Creswell, Longview, Jewell, Castle Rock, and Keizer 236 PM PDT Tue Oct 14 2025 ...FROST ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM TO 9 AM PDT WEDNESDAY... * WHAT...Temperatures of 32 to 36 degrees will result in frost formation. * WHERE...South Willamette Valley, North Oregon Coast Range Lowlands, East Central Willamette Valley, and Cowlitz County Lowlands. * WHEN...From 1 AM to 9 AM PDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The Nehalem River Valley, including Vernonia and Pittsburg, is the most likely area within the Coast Range to see temperatures fall below freezing. In those areas, there is a 70 to 90% chance of a true freeze, and a nearly 100% chance of frost, so those with agricultural interests or sensitive outdoor plants should take more substantial preventative measures. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Take steps now to protect tender outdoor plants from the cold. Consider temporarily moving outdoor potted plants indoors if they are sensitive to cold temperatures.
