...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM THIS EVENING TO 10 AM
PST THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Cold temperatures between 20 to 25 degrees.

* WHERE...Greater Portland/Vancouver Metro, Central and Southern
  Willamette Valley, Northern and Central Coast Range Valleys and
  Mountains of Oregon, Foothills of the Northern and Central Oregon
  Cascades, Lower Columbia River and Cowlitz River Valleys, Willapa
  Hills, and South Washington Cascade Foothills.

* WHEN...From 10 PM this evening to 10 AM PST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to
  these temperatures.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Easterly winds through the Columbia River
  Gorge could gust as high as 25 to 35 mph in the eastern
  Portland/Vancouver Metro Area, leading to wind chills near 25
  degrees.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Those planning to venture outdoors should use common sense and dress
warmly, making sure exposed skin is properly covered to prevent
hypothermia.

Avoid being outdoors in wet conditions which can increase the risk
of the body cooling down and becoming hypothermic.
