085 WHUS46 KPQR 042120 CFWPQR Coastal Hazard Message National Weather Service Portland OR 120 PM PST Mon Nov 4 2024 ORZ101>103-WAZ201-050600- /O.CON.KPQR.BH.S.0010.000000T0000Z-241105T0600Z/ Clatsop County Coast-Tillamook County Coast- Central Coast of Oregon-South Washington Coast- 120 PM PST Mon Nov 4 2024 ...BEACH HAZARDS STATEMENT REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM PST THIS EVENING FOR BEACHES... * WHAT...Sneaker waves possible on the beaches. * WHERE...North and Central Coast of Oregon, and South Washington Coast. * WHEN...Until 10 PM PST this evening. * IMPACTS...Waves can run up significantly farther on a beach than normal, including over rocks and jetties. Sneaker waves can suddenly knock people off of their feet and quickly pull them into the frigid ocean which may lead to serious injury or drowning. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...West northwesterly swell of 13 to 15 ft with a period of 15 to 17 seconds will impact the coastline through tonight. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
