...TROPICAL STORM MAN-YI WEST-NORTHWEST OF YAP AND MOVING AWAY...
...CONDITIONS TO GRADUALLY IMPROVE OVERNIGHT AND FRIDAY MORNING...

Recent visible satellite imagery shows that the center of Tropical
Storm Man-yi is now west-north west of Yap, and is still moving
west-southwest this evening. The heavy outer bands of showers and
thunderstorms are starting to move west of Yap, but numerous showers
isolated thunderstorms are still expected through the early overnight
hours, and then decreasing, along with winds, as Man-yi continues to
move away from Yap.

Based on latest observations, the gale warning was allowed to expire,
and a small craft advisory is now in effect and will continue through
Friday afternoon, unless conditions quickly improve overnight as Man-
yi moves away. A high surf advisory and coastal flood statement
continues through tonight as surf will still be elevated as breezy
winds shift south and southeast, but condition are expected to improve
by the Friday morning.

Farther east, showers and thunderstorms have decreased Ulithi and Fais
and winds have shifted more towards the southeast. Conditions should
have been gradually improving since this morning and will continue to
do so overnight.

This will be the last Special Weather Statement issued by the National
Weather Service unless there are significant changes to the forecast.
