Diminishing high King tides and long-period north swell will allow
the threat of coastal flooding and hazardous surf along north-facing
reefs to subside, and the High Surf Advisory and Coastal Flood
Statement will be allowed to expire at 5 PM ChST this afternoon.

...COASTAL FLOOD STATEMENT REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE
TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 7 to 9 feet and isolated minor
  coastal flooding up to half a foot.

* WHERE...North facing reefs of Yap.

* WHEN...Until 5 AM ChST Monday.

* IMPACTS...Some water on low lying roads and property. Dangerous
  swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...An elevated north swell combined with a
  northeast trade swell will produce hazardous surf along north
  facing reefs. The surf combined with above normal King Tides will
  produce minor coastal flooding during high tide along north facing
  reefs.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to
dangerous surf conditions.

Watch for debris along low-lying shorelines facing north.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The mixture of the elevated trade swell with a
  pulse of northerly swell will support surf up to 9 feet along north
  facing reefs late this afternoon and will continue through Monday
  afternoon.

dangerous surf conditions.
