DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 100 AM CHST...1500 UTC...the center of Tropical Storm Nakri
was located near Latitude 21.0 degrees North and Longitude
136.9 degrees East. Nakri is moving northwest at 22 mph. It is
expected to maintain this general course with a decrease in
forward speed through Friday, then turn northeast Saturday.

Maximum sustained winds have increased to 40 mph. Nakri is
forecast to intensify through Friday as it exits the WFO Guam
area of responsibility.

Tropical storm force winds extend outward from the center up to
70 miles.
