TONIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY NIGHT...The ridge axis will maintain light winds and stable weather conditions across the islands through Saturday night. As the easterly flow shifts north, numerous showers will remain far to the north of the islands, leaving the territory mainly dry. High temperatures will remain warn and steady across the islands throughout the weekend. While there will be no signficant rainfall, isolated showers may occur in some areas, but they will be limited and brief at times. Overall, expect calm weather, with stable conditions prevailing through the weekend. .Long term... SUNDAY THROUGH THURSDAY...The ridge will shift northeast, causing winds to transition to a gentle northwest flow across the islands. As a result, the trough to the southwest will move closer to the islands and settle near or over the territory on Sunday. Showers are expected to increase in coverage, becoming numerous on Sunday night and continuing through the remainder of the new week. The stationary trough will persist, maintaining gentle northwest winds and numerous showers across the region through Thursday. These conditions are likely to bring a sustained period of unsettled weather, with showers lingering throughout the week. && .Marine... Seas have subsided 5 to 7 feet since this morning. With light winds across coastal waters, seas are expected to continue subsiding, reaching 4 to 6 feet by Friday and remaining at calm levels through Saturday night. From Sunday through Tuesday night, gentle northwest winds will cause seas to gradually build back up 5 to 7 feet, with these conditions persisting through Tuesday night.
